If you happen to have Dell 1450 usb WiFi card, you probably know it is not supported under Windows Vista and Windows 7. However by using Dell's Windows XP drivers it is easy to get it fully functional, even with WPA2 supported.
Here are the instructions how to get it working:- Download Dell Wireless 1450 USB drivers for Windows XP and unpack them
http://www.sendspace.com/file/25ybis - Plug the device to your computer, cancel auto install.
- Launch Device manager, right clik on the device and select 'Update drivers'.
- Click 'browse my computer for driver software', then then 'let me pick from a list of device drivers already on my computer'. Select 'network adapter' as the device type, click 'have disk' and browse to the folder containing the drivers you've unpacked on step 1.
It was tested with Windows 7 (x86) and would work with Vista.
For the 64-bit systems just use 64-bit drivers:

P.S. Don't use D-Link or any other drivers as they don't support WPA2 protection and may not work with your router setup.

doesnt work. Get a access denied error. The DLink version seems to work fine.
That's strange, I've got it working and it still works afaik.
Do you have WPA2 with DLink?
the best and easiest fix i have ever come across.
Well Done and Thank you

I know this an old post. Its killing me not having this work. I've done everything and know the device itself functions. However i cannot connect to my WPA2 protected wireless. I'm running on vista. When i try to connect the wifi continues to connect and disconnect until finally failing.
@MCminilem Sorry don't have that device anymore.
Check your router logs, it may help to find the root cause.
